Our Baton Rouge foundation warranty does not have fine print.

What does my foundation repair warranty cover?

Having a Lifetime Warranty on your drilled shaft piers means that if you experience any settlement on the piers installed, WCK will return to make future adjustments free of charge.  This is a rare occurrence but still, it is covered.  This gives you peace of mind, knowing your investment in WCK Foundation Repair will be a permanent solution to home movement.

We do make it a point to note that they are your piers. They belong to you, just like any other part of your home. As such, it is important for you to care for and maintain your piers as well as you can. This means ensuring your yard has proper drainage, maintaining your home’s plumbing, preventing water from ponding near them, and making sure they are never exposed and always under dirt. If you have any problems with plumbing, drainage, or any other issue that may affect the condition of your piers, our team at WCK Foundation Repair is always happy to help with recommendations or guidance to make sure you get the most out of our work.

Is my foundation repair warranty transferable?

One of the most frequent questions we receive about our warranties is regarding selling your home. This is where there is a big difference between our coverage and some of the other warranties out there. Some companies require that a fee be paid at the sale of the home to transfer the warranty.  There also may be a timeframe for which this transfer needs to be done.  If these stipulations are not met, the warranty can be voided.

This is simply not the case at WCK Foundation Repair.  Our warranty stays with the piers and the foundation for the lifetime of the structure. We don’t even need to know if you sell your home, the work is covered for the buyer just as it was for the original homeowner.

At the end of the day, having a warranty on the work you have done around the house is all about leaving you with peace of mind that should that same problem ever arises again, you will be covered by your initial investment. If you have any questions about our warranty, our work, or your coverage, please feel free to call our team at WCK Foundation Repair and we’ll be happy to help.

Foundation Repair Warranty:  How Does WCK Stand-by Theirs?

Posted by WCK Foundation Expert Team on Nov 17, 2015 9:00:00 AM

If you’ve ever bought a car from a dealership the finance guy probably told you all about the wonderful extended warranty for your new vehicle.  Wheels, tires, stereo, engine, everything but the oil and wiper blades are covered.  It sounds like a no brainer and can provide instant peace of mind, but is it too good to be true?  Will you need to pay for the repair and wait for reimbursement?  Will you be surprised that the problem you have suddenly doesn’t fall under the scope of the warranty?  These can be frustrating scenarios especially since you shell out a pretty penny for the coverage.

Warranties don’t stop there.  They range from expensive vehicles all the way to an electronic toy for your child.  Have you have ever been asked by the cashier at Wal-Mart as they pass the toy over the scanner if you’d like the 2-year protection plan?  For a $30 toy?  Warranties are everywhere.  In fact, if you buy a TV from Best Buy, they will make more money on the extended warranty (if you buy it) then they will on the actual television.

Now, this isn’t to give warranties a bad name.  They exist for a reason and are quite valuable.  Should you have an expensive auto repair, you’ll be glad you have that certificate.  If your new TV goes out, it’ll be nice to have a new one delivered to your front door.  A warranty is especially important when it comes to work you have done on your home, specifically your foundation.

Some foundation companies and their corresponding warranties have given homeowners a cause for concern.  Whether it comes in the fine print that includes clauses where they cannot be transferred to a new owner, or require a fee or have an expiration date, it is crucial to know the details of the warranty your foundation company offers.

At WCK Foundation, the warranty process is simple.  WCK offers a fully transferrable, lifetime warranty.  The warranty covers the work and stays with the home, it’s as simple as that.  Not only does this give you, the homeowner, peace of mind, it also adds instant value to your home should you ever sell.  However, you could still be skeptical, “is this too good to be true?” So here is the answer to the question, “Will you stand by your warranty?”

Absolutely.  The most common reason for warranty work to be performed is due to a failure to control drainage.  Drainage and moisture control is a leading cause of foundation damage and home movement.  Drainage issues can allow for slight movement to continue.  After WCK performs their comprehensive repair to your foundation, you will be furnished with some guidelines to prevent any recurrent damage.  The main objective is to correct and maintain drainage around your home.  Currently this year, WCK has only had to reshim 3% of the piers they’ve installed.

So, your foundation repair from WCK is guaranteed for the life of your home, and if your drainage issues are corrected and maintained, you likely won’t need to use your warranty.  But, if there is an issue, WCK stands by their work and their warranty.  Click here for the signs of foundation damage.

Foundation Repair Warranties: Not All Are Created Equal

Posted by WCK Foundation Expert Team on Apr 11, 2014 9:52:00 AM

Foundation Repair Warranties: Not All Are Created EqualIt’s always important to read the fine print.  Whether we are talking about rebates, warranties or formal agreements; much heartache and headache can be avoided if you understand what signing that dotted line means.  Speaking of headaches, those cracks in your foundation or slanted floors and those doors and windows that don’t quite close all the way, those are all signs of foundation damage

Having the value and safety of your home compromised by anything can be a stressful situation. With that being said, finding the best, skilled, qualified and trusted foundation repair company to remedy these issues needs to be at the top of your list.  What says trust like offering a fully transferrable, lifetime warranty?  When you have your foundation repaired, having the peace of mind that you won’t have to go through that ordeal again is incredibly valuable.  Not to mention the value you can add to your home should you ever sell it, by transferring that warranty to the buyer.

However, not all “lifetime” or “transferrable” warranties are totally lifetime and transferrable.  Some companies require that a fee be paid at the sale of the home in order to transfer the warranty.  There also may be a timeframe for which this transfer needs to be done.  If these stipulations are not met, the warranty can be voided.  If a company offers you a warranty like this are they really standing behind their work?  With the hustle, bustle and confusion in addition to the blizzard of paperwork that comes along with buying or selling a home, adding hurdles to transfer a foundation repair warranty sounds like they are tempting you to void the warranty.

A company that has the community and homeowner’s best interest at heart will keep it simple.  The warranty stays with the piers and the foundation.  At WCK Foundation Repair, our transferrable lifetime warranty does exactly that.  WCK doesn’t even need to know if you sell your home, their work is covered for the buyer just as it was for the original homeowner.

So keep in mind, a warranty is great thing to have.  You should insist that the repair company you choose offers one on their work.  However, make sure you understand what is entailed in maintaining and leveraging that warranty.  For more information on WCK Foundation Repair’s transferrable, lifetime warranty click here.

6 Reasons Why WCK & LSU Baseball Keep Winning

Posted by WCK Foundation Expert Team on Jun 7, 2013 11:14:00 AM

It’s no coincidence that the LSU Tigers are hosting their 2nd consecutive NCAA Super Regional this weekend at Alex Box Stadium.  It’s also no coincidence that WCK Foundation Repair has become the premier foundation repair company in South Louisiana.  As the Tigers look to claim their 7th College World Series title, their 2nd in 5 seasons, let’s take a look how Coach Mainieri & WCK have each built successful programs, on and off the field.

Thriving businesses, just like successful teams, aren’t easily made.  Both take a significant amount of work, time and skill to develop that winning formula.  Coach Paul Mainieri has brought his LSU Tigers to the pinnacle of college baseball by instilling these 6 factors in his program.  The same 6 elements parallel with what Mike Wall & WCK have been doing for years.  Again it’s not a fluke they both continue to hit the ball out of the park.

1.)    Talent:  In order to win, and continue winning, you need to have the best people.  Coach Mainieri does that by continually bringing in the highest ranked recruiting class each season.  Evidence of that this year is Aaron Nola, sophomore, being named SEC Pitcher of the Year, and Alex Bregman, freshman, being named SEC  & NCAA Freshman of the year & NCAA Baton Rouge Regional MVP.  The Tigers also set a school record for players named to the All-SEC team.

WCK has the same all-star caliber talent in place.  When it comes to something as critical as your home’s foundation, you can’t settle for anything less than the best.  That’s why the team at WCK hires the best, most professional, knowledgable and skilled crew.  To prove it, WCK offers a lifetime, transferrable warranty.

2.)    Process:  Once that talent is in place, it needs to develop on the baseball diamond.  For your home’s foundation, that talent needs to have the best resources & methods available to remedy any issue.  Last year LSU’s All-American pitcher, Kevin Gausman, wrapped up his Tiger career as the #4 overall draft pick to the Baltimore Orioles.  That is a testament to the LSU process.  At WCK, our pier drilling technique is the most successful foundation repair method for Louisiana soils.  Our talented team knows this process inside and out.

3.)    Commitment:  The collegiate baseball season stretches from February to June.  When you include the offseason conditioning, practice and training, it takes a substantial commitment from each player, coach, manager and staff member to keep that one goal of making it to Omaha in mind.  WCK Foundation Repair has an unending commitment as well; to the residents of south Louisiana.  WCK was born and bred on the bayou, and with no plans to expand beyond the great state of Louisiana, their lone goal and commitment is to folks of the Louisiana and any foundation problem they will ever have.

4.)    Leadership:  It’s no accident the Tigers have won a school record 54 games this season.  A key factor to that success is the leadership of head baseball coach Paul Mainieri.  The 2009 NCAA Coach of the Year has continued to be a tremendous influence in the dugout and in the community.  Just like a successful team, a successful business starts with great leadership.  Mike Wall of WCK comes from a family background in the foundation repair business.  His vision is to help Louisiana residents with any foundation issues.

5.)    Passion:  Successful coaches and athletes are passionate about their sport and leave it all on the field.  It’s tough to beat a team playing with passion.  The same is true at WCK.  WCK Foundation Repair is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our neighbors in south Louisiana, each and every day.  Our commitment to improving homes puts a smile on the face of our team members.  WCK will go the extra mile to ensure that your foundation is done the right way the first time.  A lifetime, transferrable warranty and our expert staff exemplify WCK’s passion year round.

6.)    Fans/Customers:  For the past few decades, LSU has been the home to the greatest college baseball fans in the nation.  That holds true today, as last Saturday’s regional game drew 10,752 people, an Alex Box Stadium record.  WCK is the “Home” team.  We want our customers to be raving fans just like the LSU baseball fans in Baton Rouge.  Just like the Tigers put a winning product out on the field each spring, WCK puts a winning product under your home each and every time.

LSU baseball and WCK are a winning combination.  These qualities and more keep WCK & the Tigers in the spotlight.

The Importance of a foundation repair warranty in Baton Rouge

Foundation Repair Warranty Baton Rouge

A warranty on the foundation of a home is offered, because it is common for the home to experience minor movement after the foundation is stabilized. This does not mean that the foundation repair job performed was ineffective. Every home has minor movement from time to time. Foundation repair is needed when movement is significant, causing major foundation failure over a period of time.  Our repairs bring the foundation back or as close to original grade as possible.

Having a Lifetime Warranty on our drilled shaft piers means that if you experience any movement on the piers installed, WCK will return to make future adjustments free of charge.  This is a rare occurrence but still, it is covered.  This gives you peace of mind, knowing your investment in WCK Foundation Repair will be a permanent solution to home movement.

If you ever sell your home, there is no fee charged for transferring the warranty to the new owners.  The home could change hands 10 times and it will still be covered.  WCK Foundation Repair’s home warranties are filed under the home’s street address, not the homeowner’s name.  This makes it easy to keep our files organized.

In years prior to 2002, WCK offered a limited warranty.  This means that the piers installed prior to that year had a small fee associated with warranty work.  The other homes that have a limited warranty would be homes that are 60+ miles from our office location.  This is to cover fuel and driving costs associated with warranty work.

We want you to feel secure and confident in our ability to repair the home in the most effective way possible.  We also want you to have the longterm backing of our work.  We aren’t here to make a buck.  We appreciate having customers refer us because of our quality of workmanship and customer service.  So when choosing a company to repair your home’s foundation, choose WCK Foundation Repair.
